Well considering that our beloved SeaSalt is now a regular player of the game, I think it's fit to have a CC:FFVII thread! I'm hoping I'm not the only other person who's played it, though xD;

I just finished it, and loved it,
I can't believe the words are coming out of my mouth but..
It's on a par with KH for me.
I adore Zack! Like I adore Sora and Riku Very Happy

I like him more in the first half of the game, in terms of appearance. He's so much... dare I say, cuter xD plus I find it better to have an adolescent character in an SE game, for a change

I liked him starting off as a adolescent but watching him grow up and accept responsibility.
Speaking of SE adolecents what happens when Sora grows up ;~; ?
I mean it might be cool
but dude i mean Riku's close to being an Adult already, and Soon Sora will be.. :/ Ugh... i dont want my boys to grow up ;~;
Still i like grown up Zack, he shaped up to be a pretty decent man.
Cuteness fades eventually, but then Manly-ness takes its place... ^_^

Riku's already like an angsty adult anyway xD;; but yeah, it'll be sad to see them grow up.

I find it interesting to watch the change, too, and also Cloud's change. Just seeing him in the SOLDIER uniform close to the end looks so odd, because it doesn't fit

Okay i've never played FFVII (would love to but the game is like uber rare)
So why on earth does Cloud become a Soldier after Shinra killed Zack?

Well he doesn't really. He thinks he's a SOLDIER because of Zack.

(something to do with his memory of Zack and he kinda thinks he's Zack...in a way.)

Okay now im more confused, i mean isn't he technically a soldier cause he's had all that Mako energy shoved in him?
What I mean is why would he join soldier after what they did to them?
Are you saying he sorta forgets the fact they like completely gunned down Zack or what's the go?
(You can spoil me, i doubt i'll ever get to play the game unless they make a remake of it, and if they make a remake, I'd probably have to buy a ps3, not likely atm)

He almost didnt survive will all that stuff in him. He was in a coma state for a looong time. Well not really. I dont remember it very well coz i havent played it for an awful long amount of time but I remember a couple of bit about this. I thought he thinks he's a 1st class SOLDIER because his memories of Zack influenced him, hence the "you're my living legacy" thing. :v

Well I remmebr that he remember a couple of bits when he was in a coma (like the bit when Zack was talkign to him behind a truck).

The coma thing was the severe Mako Addiction, I get that,
dw I answered my own question I think...
I went on youtube to look at the FF VII Clips, and he's not with Shinra...
untill i gave up and got bored cause it was going to take me weeks of watching cause they had the person's gameplay in there and so on...
the gaphics make my brain bleed >.<
But he was working against Shinra at that stage...
Unlesss he goes back... but eh...
The clip still doesn't make sense that he's claiming to be "first class" Maybe he's imagining what it'd be like I dunno...
I really hope they remake it though, cause i'd love to play it, but it's so rare, plus I think the current battle system for it would irritate me, and so on...

Okay, In FF7 cloud thought he'd been a soldier 1st class, but he was only a 3rd class. In his mind, he'd taken on Zacks persona, his hopes and his dreams. He pretty much became Zack, with the name Cloud, which is how he became Zacks "Living Legacy". In FF7, cloud goes into his mind and memories to sort himself and realizes that rather than him being Zack, He's cloud, and he can't continue living on as Zack. thats pretty mmuch all there is to it ^^ And he wasnt with Shinra, he left shinra when Zack died.

Exactly o.O he was never more than that, from what we saw... and the other 3rd Class SOLDIERs in the game wear the corresponding uniform, so unless that's something that changed in the process of making a prequel... Even so, it's odd.

So yes, basically Cloud takes over Zack's persona, but still seeks revenge on Shin-Ra for what they did to Zack... so he's sort of half-conscious of being himself and Zack o.o
