Too Little, too Late

A distant cry
He calls for help
No one hears him
He shouts, pleads, begs for someone
No one comes to him
They are a bit too little too late

His wrists are bleeding
Scarred by his terrible life
He prays someone will notice
He hopes someone will come this rescue
Nobody comes to him
No one even notices
At a time too little too late

His heart aches
His bones began to feel like jello
Tears slowly drop
A truth that was never meant to come out
His life torn cause of this
A simple truth meant to stay a lie
Ruined what he thought as the perfect life
It became too little, too late

He lies there, bleeding out his sorrows
His life is nearing its end
With no one around
To hear his calls for help
He enjoys his final moments alive
The final moments that he will breathe the air
Until this poor soul departs to the heavens
Until he can finally realize the mistakes he’s made
Too realize it was too little, too late

Blood-stained hands cover up his sorrows
Crimson ink falls down slowly
His life, its at the peak
A life that he sought not meant to live for
A life that his heart bled for
A life that heads down a spiral of despair
With no where to go but up into the skies
A life too little to bother with
A life too late to save
It all has became too little too late

i dont just say that because it's dark and depressing (though i do like poems like that for some reason... no idea why...) but i know it's deep... once i find some vestige of meaning i'll get back to you (i suck at poem analysis XD)

Mmmm Could be better if it rhymed,
I always expect poetry to have a rhythmic motion, and it always flows better if it rhymes.

Not always, sometimes Free-verse can always provide better flow then Rhythmic poetry. it all depends on how well the words go together, and if the message is sent. Imo, Free-verse is better then rhyming poetry.

i, too, prefer free verse slightly. it's easyer to find meaning for me casue the rhyming distracts me Razz

... it's like rhymes are shiny objects...
