Traditional Artist of the month Competition - 01

Hey Guys,
I noticed it's been a bit dead around the traditional art section so i thought I'd try and liven things up with a bit of friendly competition.

TRADITIONAL ARTIST OF THE MONTH - 01 KEYBLADE

This month's competition will start offically on the 1ST of FEBRUARY (being the first time im giving you a little heads up)
and will be Judged on the 1ST or MARCH.

Since there's been whinging about the keyblade designs in the KH games since KH2 I thought it'd be cool if we desgined our own.
However! There's some additional requirements that need to be considered whilst designing.

Your entry form will look like this:
Name of Keyblade: (Your own name)
Weilder: (Sora/Roxas/Riku/Kairi/Terra/Aqua/Ven/King Mickey/Vanitas/Master Xehanort/Master Eraqus)
Keychain: (no explaination needed I hope)
Symbolism/Background: (Examples: Oathkeeper has Kairi's good luck charm which resembles their relationship, Oblivion Represents Sora's time as a heartless, Bond of Flame represents Axel's bond with Roxas/Sora. ect. When they obtained it could also be good.)

Your keyblade MUST have these things.
Your own original design - Don't go drawing another oathkeeper or way to dawn. Don't steal anyone else's design either, that's against copyright.
Your own original name - Again, things like Oblivion II is just stupid and lacks originality.
A keyhain - Must be drawn attached to your keyblade.
Fully colored - Unless your keyblade is supposed to be black and white, the colours tend to have symbolism too.

DUE - 1ST OF MARCH!

- May be brought forward depending on level of intrest and if all entries are brought in earlier so please post your level of intrest in competeting.

i dont get the other parts of it (well, i get the "weilder" part, but i really only know 3 of those names. and yes, please, keychain explanation Razz

Mmmm Okay... you'll understand more what i mean towards the end of Days.
but untill then google Keyblades and you'll see something small dangling by a chain off the keyblade
It's called a Key-Chain,
Some of these Keychains have important significance.
And that's what im talking about.
Keychains are connected to the keyblade which change the keyblade's shape from just the generic keyblade.
(You know them as Gears on Days,)

... i thought they were completely different key blades ._.

lol No they're not, just modified into a new keyblade.

if i got time, heck yea. though it's not till march, so i should have time.

i already got a name and design and coloring thought up... just for that pesky key-chain, wielder, and background...

Play a bit more of days, get to know Roxas a bit better,
Im sure he could be your weilder.
Otherwise there's Birth By Sleep clips and other KH clips you can watch on youtube, to get a feel for some of the characters.
Hint:

Dark-type keyblades (evil) would suit:
Vanitas
Riku
Master Xehanort
Terra? (gets a little be misguided)
Roxas? (more of a light weilder)

Light-Type Keyblades:
Sora
Kairi
Master Eraqus
Aqua
Roxas
Ventus
King Mickey Mouse
Terra (He's probably light/dark)
Xion.

If you're struggling on a keychain/background,
It's cause you keyblade sorta needs to be based on something
You could base it on a favourite disney movie or something...
or if you know any of the final fantasy series that could be of help.
Otherwise something KH related.

hmmm... i got more of a concept that it's based on, which is providing alot of keychain ideas, but i cant think of any backgrounds.

Background is sorta important,
It's kinda why did your weilder get this keychain.
I mean it only has to be like a sentence long but, you know eh...
It's your chance to be creative.

And don't worry Elly I assure you next month wont be a weapon design but something else entirely.

I did this one primarily cause I thought it might be more apealing to the boys, ^__^

o.O are you suggesting you'd be animating yours then, Sarad? or would you be doing something like secondary sketches?
